The fall (2)

A leaf falling
like phantom
falling
unusually quiet
for fear that it might
ripple the ground
the fiery maple leaf
burning swelteringly
in the clear clean air
spreading a stifling smell
the mighty sea
the deep pearly sky
like a good silk
the blue color is boundless
bottomless
everything is at the acme of
wonderfulness
i’m at a loss
want to search for
a region of green between
consciousness and unconsciousness
standing amidst the golden wind
fantacizing the proud sun
overhead
autumn has always been a season of
harvest
but it always
inadvertantly brings a trace of
melancholy because
it always starts with the first leaf
that falls
then the second
the third
until there’s none left
to fall.
