An old seaside town

An old indigo town
the dilapidated rickety harbor
still animated and sprightly
a town adulated
by the rainy season
the waves of the ocean
the passage of time
washed away colors
what’s remained
firm breathing and
the wettish footsteps of
the cobblestone street
listening carefully
to her breaths
increasingly hoary
this harbor
with the last vestiges of strength
beholding the surface of the
golden ocean
and the town become
and shrunken
